About This Race
The Black Canyon Ultras are iconic point-to-point 100K and 50K races that traverse the Black Canyon National Recreation Trail through the heart of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert. Expect sweeping views, fast desert singletrack, and a true taste of the region’s rugged beauty — a classic event that draws runners from around the world.
Black Canyon is part of the World Trail Majors, and the race has become a benchmark early-season desert ultra. The weekend is staged out of Mayer (Spring Valley) with finish lines in New River (100K) and Black Canyon City (50K).
